- Treatment of selected fungal infections
- Certain dermatophyte infections
- Other susceptible fungal infections as diagnosed by a healthcare professional
ETRONAC-TR TAB contains two oral antifungal medicines—itraconazole and terbinafine. Such antifungal therapy is used for certain fungal infections, but the combination should be prescribed only after appropriate clinical assessment because both medicines have important drug interactions and liver-related precautions.
The exact indication should be based on the identified fungal infection, its location and severity, and the prescriber’s assessment. This combination should not be used routinely for undiagnosed skin or nail problems.
Take exactly according to the prescribed regimen. Do not stop antifungal treatment early unless advised. Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take because itraconazole has clinically important drug interactions.
Possible side effects include nausea, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, headache, dizziness and skin reactions. Oral antifungal medicines can also cause liver problems; symptoms such as persistent nausea, dark urine, yellowing of the eyes/skin or severe fatigue require prompt medical attention.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
