DERICORT-6 TAB contains Deflazacort 6 mg, a corticosteroid medicine with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It works by reducing inflammation and modifying excessive immune-system activity. Deflazacort is also used in the management of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
DERICORT-6 may be indicated when corticosteroid therapy is clinically required. The exact indication depends on the patient’s condition and doctor’s assessment.
Take orally in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. It may generally be taken with or without food. Do not stop corticosteroid treatment suddenly unless advised by your doctor.
Possible side effects include increased appetite, weight gain, stomach discomfort, sleep or mood changes, increased urination, increased susceptibility to infections and other corticosteroid-related effects.
Store below 30°C, protected from excessive heat and moisture. Keep in the original packaging and out of reach of children.
